Buying online...

I am very skeptical about buying stuff online... especially things that I have never tried/tried on before (e.g. cloth diapers!), but I found this website http://modestmommycover.com/. They will definitely be getting a chunk of my last paycheck, because they donate 20% of their profit to Lottie Moon Missions!!! How can you resist that when it comes buying things! Their website is awesome. Off to spend some money!!!

Oh, Oh we're...

...halfway there!!! 20 week belly shot below (as promised), and we've picked a theme! We are going to do an outdoor adventure theme. We've (or should I say I've) had the hardest time picking an idea. I never liked anything that I saw as far as baby bedding goes, and darling husband (DH) was content with a puppy dog theme. Well, after dragging him through all the baby stuff at every store we go to, I decided we should look at the kids stuff (just in case). Well, there were these really cute wall tins (see pic below) that happened to have a jeep on one! DH loves jeeps, and I love orange; well the rest is history. Now I just need to find some old wooden oars to refurbish and repaint the old wooden army(?) chest that was my Nanno's, make a mobile, and we'll be on our way! Oh yeah, we still have to get the crib, etc... but hey, at least we have a theme! The pic with the theme stuff is also an after pic of the nursery (remember the ugly green carpet!).

Houston...

we may have a crib! We finally went "shopping" today, and while there is nothing set in stone this is the crib we both liked, but in the carmel finish. Here's the link... http://tinyurl.com/ngmjcu

I'll post some belly pics soon! Don't give up on me!

House pics

Some before shots of the "new" house that we bought the day before we found out about Baby C! I guess I need to take some more after shots... My husband is doing an awesome job with remodeling. I'm pretty much useless when it comes to this whole fixing things up thing at this point!

The dinning room

The Kitchen

The nursery-to-be... I took my husband in here to tell him we were going to be parents. I told him by trying to convince him that we should keep the (hideous) green carpet for a "Dr. Suess" nursery. He told me the carpet is awful, and that we have to get rid of it now! I told him again that the carpet would be great for the "Dr. Suess" nursery. Again, he focused on the carpet. Lo and behold, the third time was the charm, when I repeated how great the carpet would look in our "Dr. Suess" NURSERY, with great emphasis on the last word. A light-bulb went off and the most wonderful look of sheer disbelief mixed with excitement passed over his face! It was a classic moment! Needless to say the carpet is gone!

The "master" bedroom

The carpet-less nursery floor... did I mention that my husband is amazing!

The closets in the "master bedroom. I don't have any pics loaded of the floor (re-finished wood), but this is the color of the walls with white trim and ceiling.
There is still a lot to be done. My husband is turning a walk-in pantry into a laundry room, and then we will hopefully tackle the nursery and living room. Come by and see us... just wear old clothes and bring a paint brush!! ;~)
